Told that this was one of the best team experiences of the season. We cooperated well on team communication and learned some new things as a group.

My Most Pleased Moment:
Guiding collaboration and better cooperation in daily team meetings; vote of confidence from most experienced members of team, Erik Lyman and Greg Reain; understanding in young riders about positioning and tactics that continues to be used for personal bests.

Special Features:

The team was outclassed in this event, but we knew that going in and still had success in the following ways

Staying positive to fight and survive to the next stage and to agree on individual roles for best team chances

Practice and strategy for team time trial – a first for this group – yielded ballpark competitiveness

Breakaway presence on Martinsburg stage by Erik Lyman

Climbing presence with leaders by Greg Reain improved with discussion in second, third chances

Significant improvement in positioning and external awareness by the very tough final criterium stage
