Beth is a former trade team cyclist who is now an age-group National Champion and World Class competitor who knows what it takes to train her body, mind, spirit, and build the support necessary for top level performances. As an insider to winning, she has worked intensely to understand all the variables of performance for Coaching and Mentoring top competitors. Mastery takes a long discipline in the same direction; her commitment is motivated by excellence and love for her athletes. She puts that same desire for mastery into the craft of managing top performers. Believing a rider should lead with their personal strengths, Beth stresses collaboration and communication with each of her stars taking great care and copious amounts of time with each. Having emotional support and a coach who listens is essential toward sustained elite performance.

Beth has a Masters in Exercise Physiology, and applies the latest in endurance science. She was one of the first Americans to use power in the mid-1990s and is constantly evaluating emerging technologies for improvements. She has worked in the pro peloton as a Team Director and holds a UCI license validating her presence within the World Tour caravan. This unique coaching perspective coupled with her education in physiology and experience training helps guide riders using their natural physiological type and personal preferences to select effective tactics and events which make her athletes shine. She is a Level 1* Distinguished Coach, and has been an advisor on USA Cycling’s Road Coaching Committee. Beth has also had her own heart broken and healed after struggling through times toward top performance. She understands vulnerability in sport and the need for Exceptional Care by someone with extraordinary expertise who listens and collaborates. Though Beth enjoys traveling extensively for cycling, she loves her husband, Mike, and their home nestled in the ridges of the Appalachians. The peaks and valleys of her home region wrap their wild and wonderful arms around their community with a beautiful and authentic wisdom. These mountains are a metaphor that inspires Beth to share life’s downs and inspire life’s up with her sports families.
